Yesterday was absolutely beautiful on Mt. LeConte and today looks like it will be just as nice. There was no new precipitation and still 4 inches of snow laying on the ground. It is currently 26 degrees. The high was 30 with a low of 12. We are looking at another beautiful day.

Hiking towards Myrtle Point yesterday, the skies were beautiful. Visibility was high and it seemed like you could see for ever.

The winter skies are a vibrant blue. As the sun began to set the sky over cabin 10 was a warm and deep blue.

And of course there was a spectacular sunset. The sky was red and dramatic. I was very grateful to be able to experience this day on LeConte.
