Frozen Up Water On LeConte 12-22-09
I got out for a walk this morning and it's beautiful up here.  The sun is out and it's a balmy 25 this morning!  There's not enough sun to melt much snow yet.  I did hear from some hardcore hikers that came in Rainbow Falls Sunday and went out yesterday.  There's a lot of snow out there but they got through.  Cherokee Orchard Road is still closed above Twin Creeks.  Hopefully I'll be able to get out tomorrow for Christmas with the family.

December Snow On LeConte 12-22-09
The beauty in the simple things around us is amazing when they are framed by the snow.

A View Of Clifftops From Camp, Mt. LeConte 12-22-09
Somehow the snow casts a new light on the things I see everyday.  In the new light we see them for the first time and can't compare them to anything else.

Laundry Day On The Mountain
Well, enough fun for now.   It's laundry day.  So back to work.  I'll have to carry water from the spring and refill the kerosene lamps when I get these clothes folded!
