Life On LeConte

My least favorite weather occured this weedend.  I don't like it when it's just warm enough to rain.  I would rather see it cold enough to snow.  But the skies have cleared for a beautiful day on Mt. LeConte.  It's 21 degrees out today.  The low was 21 and the high was 37.  Over the last 24 hours we had .55 inches of rain.  Over the last two days we saw just over 2 inches of rain.  There is still 8 inches of snow on the ground and a lot of patchy ice.  Crampons are still a must wiht all the ice out!  If you're out today you will see some beautiful views.  The clouds are still thick in the valley but they are clearing.  It's a perfect day to enjoy the Smokies.  It's a holiday and I hope you can get outdoors and enjoy it!
